Appointed in 2024, Lt. Simmons oversees the Bureau of Support Services

The Bureau of Support Services is integral to the daily operations of the Abington Police Department, providing the critical administrative, logistical, and community-focused support necessary for our officers to carry out their duties.

This Bureau ensures that the department is fully equipped and prepared to meet the challenges of modern policing while maintaining a strong connection to the community. From assisting with the managing of officer recruitment, accreditation, professional standards and development, to overseeing facility and fleet management, property and evidence, and key initiatives like the School Resource Officer Program and the Community Care Clinician Program, the Bureau plays a vital role in supporting both our officers and the public we serve.
