Comprehensive Permits

What is a Comprehensive Permit?

A 40B Comprehensive Permit is a type of state permit used for the construction of low- and moderate-income housing. The ZBA, the applicant, and the public work together through a series of public hearings to find common ground. The ZBA then creates a finalized set of conditions for the applicant to begin construction.

For more details on the Comprehensive Permit process, check out the Massachusetts Housing Partnership “Chapter 40B Handbook”

For any other questions, or to submit comments to the Board regarding this application, contact David Rosenberg, Zoning Administrative Assistant, at This Email.
