The mission of the Abington Fire Department is to provide all persons without exceptions protection from fire, emergency medical care at the advanced life support level, mitigate hazards, and work to prevent emergencies through public education and code enforcement.

We strive to provide all services at the highest level possible in a safe, efficient and professional manner and to maintain current trends, updates and protocols with firefighting practices, emergency medicine, rescue techniques, fire prevention, and administrative data management.

Our department members are proud to be trained in many different aspects of rescue. Every member of our department is cross trained as both a Firefighter and Paramedic. Each firefighter can provide superior firefighting skills and quickly switch roles to provide the highest level of Advanced Life Support at a moments notice.
