Summary Project will include a roundabout geometric and elevation realignment and improved pedestrian and bike accommodations. Environmental Partners Group was chosen as the engineer. Improvements to this intersection are badly needed as it has been deemed the 3rd most dangerous in town.

Summary This is the most dangerous intersection in town and the project is scheduled to begin during Federal Year 2027. Greenman-Pederson Inc. was chosen as the engineer and the project will include geometric realignments, a traffic signal and pedestrian, ADA and bike upgrades. Green Wave Connector Trail Design | Status |

Summary The Greenwave Connector Trail would connect Broadmeadow Lane to the Town Library and Town Hall Complex by a walking/bike path. This would be part of a bigger vision to connect the Hanover Rail Trail to Ames Nowell State Park. The walking path would also create a safe and easy way for students in West Abington to access the Middle/High School. Funding Funded by Community Preservation Funds and State trail design funding | The contractor has been surveying the wetlands in the trail design area. The project design is 70% complete. The consultant is taking updated designs to the Conservation Commission for review and then the project can be submitted to Conservation for approval |

The Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 (DMA) places high priority on the continuation of the planning process after the initial submittal, requiring communities to seek and receive re-approval from FEMA to remain eligible for assistance.
