Spring is here and that means the Assessing Department will be going out for property visits!
We go out the entire year, but the Spring and Summer months are our busiest times. We visit more than 600 properties a year!
If we visit your property and no one is home, we'll inspect the exterior and possibly take new photos and leave a bright green or yellow door hanger/flier in the hopes that you'll call and schedule an appointment.
While we understand that some people would like advanced notice, it's too cost prohibitive to send out mailings.
We may visit your property for a few reasons: 1) you've pulled a building permit within the last few years, 2) the property has recently sold, and 3) you've been chosen by random selection because we haven't seen the property in over 7 years.
