The Town of Abington is pleased to formally announce the promotion of Lindsay Wright to the position of Director of Public Health and Emergency Management, a role she has been serving in for several months. Lindsay’s exceptional commitment and proven leadership make her a deserving choice for this important position.
In her new role, Lindsay will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Health Department, including managing staff and coordinating emergency management planning and events. Her extensive training and accolades from the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) underscore her qualifications.
Lindsay has consistently demonstrated her capabilities and dedication to the community, particularly in her work with Abington's senior population, veterans, and individuals struggling with addiction and homelessness. Her compassion, expertise, and experience have made her an invaluable resource for the town, and we look forward to her continued leadership in this expanded capacity.
