🗳️ Early Voting is Happening Now for our Annual Town Elections! Cast your vote early at Town Hall during regular business hours: Monday – Thursday: 8:30AM – 4:30PM Friday: 8:30AM – 12:30PM 📍 Town Hall, Abington MA Election Day is on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Polls are open at Beaver Brook Elementary School from 8AM - 6PM. This election includes a key funding question for the new South Shore VoTech building. With the project already approved on 1/25/25, now Abington voters are being asked to fund their share of the financial responsibility through a debt exclusion. The estimated annual cost for the average property owner (average assessed home value of $550,979) would be an additional $286.51. 🗳️ Annual Town Elections 🗓️ Saturday, April 26, 2025 ⏰ 8AM - 6PM 📍Beaver Brook Elementary School Abington's Annual Town Election will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025. The ballots included one contested race and two ballot questions, including the financing of the South Shore VoTech Project approved in January 2025. Early voting is available at the Town Clerk's Office during normal Town Hall business hours: Monday - Thursday: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM and Friday: 8:30AM to 12:30PM. Town Offices will be closed on Monday, April 21, 2025 in recognition of Patriots' Day. Trash and recycling will not be picked up on Monday. The scheduled routes will be delayed by one day.

While Abington's trash and recycling tonnage has remained stable over the past few years, waste disposal prices have continued to increase. From FY18 to FY24 trash costs have increased by more than $500,000, which is a 56% increase. The Town of Abington has proposed transitioning to a user fee system. If accepted, it would be phased in over five years and offer a discounted senior rate. 🎤Abington Police Department Expert Panel Regarding Safety Options for Those At-Risk for Wandering/Getting Lost 🗓️Monday, February 24, 2025 ⏰6PM 📍Abington Police Department Abington Police Department is teaming up with the The Plymouth County Sheriff's Department, Safety Net Tracking Systems and the Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council to present to the families of at risk population a program that can assist the Department in finding those who wander before tragedy strikes.
