Traffic Grant

The Healey-Driscoll Administration has awarded more than $12.4 million in federal traffic safety funding to promote safer roads in communities across Massachusetts. Of the $12.4 million, we are fortunate that the Abington Police Department was awarded $29, 984.22 to help address traffic issues and increase education and enforcement efforts to combat speeding, cell phone use, OUI, and other motor vehicle infractions throughout town. Purchase equipment such as traffic data collection technology, and bike helmets, as well as funding for training.

We thank the Healey-Driscoll Administration, and APD Sergeant Feely for his work on completing the necessary research and grant application.
