Abington Police Department Responds to Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash
On Saturday, October 12th, 2024 at approximately 7:27 p.m., the Abington Police Department responded to report(s) of a single-motor vehicle crash near 700 Richard A. Fitts Drive.
The operator of the motor vehicle, a 44-year-old Dedham MA man, was pronounced dead on scene. The victim’s identity is not being released pending notification of his next of kin. A juvenile passenger was airlifted to a Boston Hospital with serious injuries.
Additionally, a small dog from the vehicle was unfortunately discovered dead on the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Section (CARS) and the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.
