Office of Veterans' Services

Mission

The primary mission and responsibly of the Department of Veterans' Services is to advise and assist veterans and dependents residing within the Town of Abington. We provide outreach to promote State and Federal benefits for which they may be eligible. Under Chapter 115 of the Massachusetts General Laws, this office provides financial assistance to low-income veterans and their dependents. Areas of assistance include, but are not limited to:

Veterans' Muster

Abington CAM produces Abington Veterans' Muster a monthly TV show. It’s aired on Channel 6 (Comcast) and 28 (Verizon) on Tuesdays at 6 pm. New episodes are released the 1st Tuesday of every month. It is available on YouTube.

Abington Veterans’ Discretionary fund

 The Town of Abington provides a discretionary fund that assists Veterans and their surviving spouse with urgent needs that arise that need an immediate response.

Donations are encouraged and can be made directly to the fund using UniPay link or QR Code.
