📣 Calling Interested Volunteers The Community Preservation Committee (CPC) has three open seats on its committee and is actively seeking applications to fill the vacancies! The Community Preservation Committee is responsible for making recommendations on how CPA funds (a local property tax surcharge) should be spent. CPA Funds support open space protection, outdoor recreation, historic preservation, and affordable housing. ❓What are the qualifications to be on the committee? Applicants should be passionate and enthusiastic about investing Abington's CPC funds into open space, recreation, historic preservation, and affordable housing. That's it! Our form of town government RELIES on volunteers. ⏰ What is the time commitment for the CPC? CPC meets typically meetings twice a month on Tuesdays at 6PM.
